Mom O and My silly kiddos

We went to visit our dear "Mom O" on Sunday. She is 94 and quite the spunky little thing still. She cooked us a delicious dinner and here she is hanging out with Drew.
Mom Owens watching the kids throw rocks in the creek.
Mom Owens made this pretty dress for Raegan. If she had frilly sock and patent leather shoes, she would have been my twin from when I was little. :)
Doesn't she look like a baby doll!
Acting like one of the boys and throwing rocks in the creek.
Too Tired!!! We had a long weekend with lots of traveling here and there, and it was just too much for my little girl. Don't you love the blankie around her neck.
So, Drew is still trying new things everyday. From attempting to crawl and pull up, to trying to wave bye-bye, and now he's eating meat and potatoes! Okay, so doesn't really eat meat yet, but he did enjoy eating a real potato from our beef roast/potatoes dinner the other night. Here he is sampling a potato in this neat little contraption. It's a mesh pouch that he can chew on like a big boy, but he can't choke on anything. It's great although he doesn't look to sure of what he's eating in this picture. He did manage to eat two pieces though. I loved this picture. He always blinks when the flash comes on, and this was just him trying to blink. Too cute.
Here he is trying to push himself up to crawl. He can spin in circles, scoot on his toosh, and can kinda crawl backwards, but he just hasn't figured out how to propel himself forward. I'm very okay with him not learning how to crawl yet. Having two kids that are mobile seems a little scary :)
And last but not least our baby girl has come down with a bad case of "sticker disease". Okay, really we just had fun one day and covered her from head to toe in stickers.
She is such a little cutie, even covered in stickers.

Our beach vacation

No, we didn't fall off the face of the planet. We did however slip off for a week to the beach with my family. Naturally, in true "Roop" fashion, both our kids ended up getting sick for a few days of the trip, but we still managed to have a great time. It was tiring to say the least, but it was so fun to hang out with out whole family. At least there were extra hands around to help with our feverish and snotty kids :) It has taken a few days to get our house back in order, especially since Drew is still sick, but I think we have finally returned to a little bit of normalcy. There were LOTS of pictures for me to go through, so bear with me cause this will be a very long post. Hope you enjoy some of the highlights of our week.
Here is the whole family looking pretty decent in a picture. We are a nice looking crew.
Mama and Raegan.
Daddy and Drew.
The grandkids and Grandparents.
The Roops.
The Yates.Grandad and Drew taking a nap on the beach. The sound of those waves knocked both of them out :)
What a cutie pie. He looks like a toddler here instead of a baby though. Nana and Grandad without any grandkids hanging around their neck.
Raegan said she was swimming in this little water hole.
Drew didn't get to spend too much time in the sun, but he did enjoy a few minutes in this little pool.
Here are all the grandkids hanging in the baby waves.
This was my favorite picture of the week. My two favorite boys looking so cute!
I just love those sweet little freckles!
Goofing around with Grandad.
Guess what color popsicle she had?
Drew stealing a little one-on-one time with Nana.
The only problem we had was that there just weren't enough Nanas and Grandads to go around :)

The family (minus our napping Drew)
Hanging in the surf with Ben and Grandad.
Here she is with Grandad, and this is about as brave as she got with the waves.
Here is Scott and Ben "riding" a wave on his boogie board.
Our sweet happy baby boy.

This was one of those randome, but beautiful pictures!
"Hey, nice hat. I guess mom made you wear one too :)"
Raegan playing in the sand
What little time Drew did get to spend on the beach, he usually just sat under the tent. He really liked the sand though!

Sorry about all the pictures, but I have HUNDREDS and it was hard to pick just a few. Hope you enjoyed them.

7 months and doing so much

"He's got the whole world in his hands"... that's what he seems to be singing in this one :) Here is our little man Drew who is officially 7 months now! He is doing so much these days. We had to put the baby bouncer chair and baby swing away and drag out the learning table (that Raegan learned to walk around) and the jumperoo down from the attic. He is sitting up very well now, and has even started trying to crawl. If he is determined enough, he can scoot a little on the floor to reach something. I'm amazed at how quickly he has grown and changed. I don't even remember when he wasn't here. What a joy he has been to our family! I just love this little expression!
Here is our little man trying out his jumper-seat for the first time. Raegan wanted to help him out. Check out that bedhead?
I also found this picture of Raegan at 8 months in the same chair. The funny thing is they are both wearing the same PJ's! How cute is that? Here is Raegan giving Drew a "little" hug. They do love each other!
I'm not sure if she was thinking about doing something sneaky, but she sure has that expression on her face.
She had to give him a crash course on how everything worked.
Here is Drew's first time sitting in a high chair at a restaurant. This was at Applebee's last Saturday when Tony and I took the kids out. Doesn't he look so big!
Not sure about this face. He might have been mad because he had to eat carrots while we ate cheese sticks and shrimp :) Daddy and Raegan waiting for their food. My husband looks so skinny these days! He's lost quite a bit of weight since he has been running.
And last but not least, this picture is for Nana. We tried out the curling iron on Raegan's hair yesterday. She looked SOOOOO cute (minus the fake smile)! I knew you would love this Nana!!!
