What a month

It's gonna take me a few posts to get you caught up on what's been going on in our lives, but here's a start. First I'm gonna show you the whopper snow we had a week or so ago. We still have a few inches covering our yard, and with the scattered flurries we continue to have I don't think we will see grass for sometime. We had about 16 inches of snow!
This is our front walk before Tony dug it out.
This is after. I love it!
Drew did NOT like his snow suit!
Getting ready to go down for the 25th time! Daddy got a work out that day!
This picture cracks me up! She was sitting behind a mountain of snow that had been piled up from shoveling. All you could see was her little head.
Now this is getting comfy in the snow!
Daddy and two of his redheads all bundled up.

Raegan offering daddy some much needed help shoveling the snow.Raegan was digging a hole to find the grass. She never did find it.
Drew wasn't really that fond of all this snow. As you can see, it was up to his hips which meant he could barely walk at all! He got carried alot.
I much preferred them to look at the snow from this view rather than from outside in it. At least I didn't have to bundle, unbundle because we had to pee, and bundle again!

Thanksgivings

We spent Thanksgiving Day with our Dear "Mom O" and had a great time.
Even though not all the brothers and sisters were able to come, we still had a very full house.
Little Ben being his cute self. I can't believe he is gonna be a big brother in April!
Our four generations.
Uncle Scott and Drew goofing off.
My boys were too tired.
O n Saturday, we headed to Tony's grandparents in TN. It was a long day with no naps, but we had fun visiting with family.
Raegan and Papaw Chris taking a break.
The most fun for the kids was the piles of leaves. Where in the world are Raegan and Drew?
What a sweet face!
I'm not sure who had more fun, me or the kids.
Leaf angels?
Are they cloud gazing or just so tired they couldn't move?
We have so much to be thankful for this year... A roof over our head, a husband who still has a job, food in our pantry, and lots of family to love us. I am so thankful for my husband who works so hard to take care of us, and my sweet kids who always manage to make me smile. Happy Thanksgiving 2009!

Practice makes perfect

To start this post off, I'm gonna show off my lovely pedicure that Raegan gave me. We have been working on her writing skills, and I decided that she needed other things to practice hand/eye coordination. This is just one of the ways we worked on it. I should have known this is what my toes would look like. After all, she isn't really fond of coloring in the lines. She started out doing pretty well, but quickly started adding more and more color... well, I think the picture is enough description. Her skills are improving though. I wrote the first line, and she followed the dots on the second line. Not too bad for a 3 year old.And next we have Drew. This little boy is so funny. We have recently taken his beloved pacifiers away from him during the day. He is only allowed to have them at naptime and bedtime. He has gotten sneaky though and we have to hide them once he gets up. Otherwise, this is usually what we find...
Him hiding with a hand full of paci's. He has always loved having one in his mouth and one in each hand. BUSTED!
Oh well, we are still working on it!.

Helping with chores

I always find it funny that our little guys always want to be doing whatever it is that Tony and I are doing. Whether it's folding laundry, sweeping the floors, cooking dinner, raking the leaves... whatever we do, they want to "help". It always takes a LOT longer to actually do these tasks with two little helpers, but it's way more fun. I happened to have my camera ready when Tony and his motley crew set to work raking, then mowing the fallen leaves in our back yard.
Just like Daddy...

And you've gotta love the Dennis the Menace look!

Boys will be boys

I found Drew doing some reading the other day, and couldn't resist taking a picture. He is such a silly little boy these days. You never know what he will do next. Hiding after he had been caught.
I love the crossed knee. He was just relaxing.
He is such a sweet boy.
This picture (although a little blurry) just screams DREW! This is his personality shining through.Drew has always loved cars and truck. When he plays with them, he just zones out. He is very methodical about lining them up and then pushing them down.
And of course watching them roll.
Such a silly boy.

Preschool party

Raegan had her first preschool party today. As you can see, it was a Halloween party and they got to dress up in their costumes and go "trick-r-treating" in the upstairs classrooms of the church. Raegan was dressed as none other than Cinderella, and she had a great time. Here is her preschool class all dressed up.
We had some crown issues, but she thought it looked best right on her forehead... to each her own!
She was aggravated by Hannah "Tinkerbell's" wings because they kept hitting her.
I love this preschool just as much as she does. It has been so much fun and they get to do such cute things.

My little performer

Drew has recently discovered that he can sing. He has always loved music and tried to sing, but something just clicked last week. Now he can sing Twinkle Twinkle Little Star, The ABC's, Wheels on the Bus... the list goes on and on. Here is a little clip of him singing Twinkle Twinkle and trying to sing My God is so Big. He is very entertaining and SO cute!

Arts and Crafts

I forgot how the cold weather brings out the arts and crafts more often than in the summer months when we spend most our free time outside. We did spend some time outside today collecting some lovely fall leaves and twigs to make a collage. My dining room table looked like this for about two hours, and I'm still scrubbing at the glue spots, but we had fun!
Our spiders.
Raegan's abstract leaf collage.

My more traditional approach... yes, I have just as much fun as my kids do at these little projects.
Drew didn't get to participate today since he took a 3 hour nap, but I'm sure he will be ready to make a mess in the near future.
