Preschool party

Raegan had her first preschool party today. As you can see, it was a Halloween party and they got to dress up in their costumes and go "trick-r-treating" in the upstairs classrooms of the church. Raegan was dressed as none other than Cinderella, and she had a great time. Here is her preschool class all dressed up.
We had some crown issues, but she thought it looked best right on her forehead... to each her own!
She was aggravated by Hannah "Tinkerbell's" wings because they kept hitting her.
I love this preschool just as much as she does. It has been so much fun and they get to do such cute things.

My little performer

Drew has recently discovered that he can sing. He has always loved music and tried to sing, but something just clicked last week. Now he can sing Twinkle Twinkle Little Star, The ABC's, Wheels on the Bus... the list goes on and on. Here is a little clip of him singing Twinkle Twinkle and trying to sing My God is so Big. He is very entertaining and SO cute!

Arts and Crafts

I forgot how the cold weather brings out the arts and crafts more often than in the summer months when we spend most our free time outside. We did spend some time outside today collecting some lovely fall leaves and twigs to make a collage. My dining room table looked like this for about two hours, and I'm still scrubbing at the glue spots, but we had fun!
Our spiders.
Raegan's abstract leaf collage.

My more traditional approach... yes, I have just as much fun as my kids do at these little projects.
Drew didn't get to participate today since he took a 3 hour nap, but I'm sure he will be ready to make a mess in the near future.

Hokie game tea party

Tonight, the Butchers came over to watch the Hokies play a little football. Raegan has been looking forward to Annie and Ellie's visit all day, and spent most of the afternoon running to the front door saying "I think they are here... oh man, that was somebody else" While the grown ups watched the terrible football game, the kids entertained themselves with more important things than football. Like putting on the all important "eye black" like the players wear. Having the all important popsicle break.
Or having a half time tea party. They had so much fun, and Raegan is already asking when we get to do it again. Who really wants to watch football anyway.

Role play

I'm just wondering if this is a glimpse into my kids futures....

Chef Raegan? Dr Roop?

Only time will tell :)

Corn Maze

This past weekend we decided to try out the local corn maze with Nana and Grandad and our friends the Kidds. They offered hay rides, horshoes, pony rides, bouncers, and of course the Maze. Nobody was brave enough to ride the pony, but Raegan loved holding the little rabbits. She kept saying, "I sure wish I had a little bunny like this at my house". The kids (and the grown-ups) all had a great time, so here is a little slide show to highlight our trip.
