Fishing trip

We had beautiful weather this past weekend, and since it may be some of our last warm days of the year, we decided to take full advantage of it. Tony, his dad, and I took the kids fishing! This was their first official time with hooks and worms, and boy was it fun. This was my favorite picture of the day. They were practicing casting and reeling before we actually put the hooks on. Drew tried the "relaxed" approach to fishing, but as you can see, Tony ended up doing the practicing for him.
If you can look past the dirt on his face, he has the prettiest eyes!
Raegan, surprising enough, was much braver than we thought and actually held worms! She said the worm was cuddling her... YUCK!
We didn't actually catch any fish, and it may have something to do with this little guy. He spent much of his time throwing rocks into the water to see if they would make a splash.
My boys enjoying some fishing.
Raegan and Papaw Roop just hoping they might get a bite.
We had a small incident with a briar patch, another little incident with a hook, and mud all over us, but no one ended up in the lake or in the ER. It was one of the most fun days we have had in a long time.
And where was Callie the whole time?? Snuggled up next to her mama in the sling. She didn't seem to mind she missed out on all the fun. Maybe next year.
